Re: Project: Bootstrap
noice! :D I played with Apache Mesos for a while, too bad it's dead, I think you would have found it interesting. and yeah, server hardware makes harder cuts in compatibility with updated software technology than desktop software. the last one was when cloud computing became the new hot shit, the us...

Re: Reddit is about to go the way of Digg
I never actively used reddit, just often stumbled over threads in google when searching for work related stuff....mostly about the hosting platform I am using, etc. sometimes the threads were helpful, but often I had to ask myself how deep they have their heads up google's ass to get such high ranki...

Re: A commerce Website
yeah, shopify is good for beginners, especially if you're selling products that need shipping. if you're selling virtual products that are on-site (like access to a page with a specific video for example) Woocommerce works quite well, but the setup has a bit of a learning curve....but it's worth get...

Re: AWS
it's because the user interface is overloaded which makes it hard to find things, especially because they use those fancy proprietary names for everything which makes it hard to guess what it actually does.

I'm a fan of HP Elitebooks. they are good business laptops, and you can get older i5 ones for little money which are still good enough when upgraded with a SSD and some RAM. they are also nearly indestructable.

Re: AWS
funny you mention it, I am in the process of moving a dozen client sites away from AWS Lightsail to my hosting....and from my (admittedly limited) experience it's awful... but I am sure, also because of that, there is some money to make with support....especially because AWS support plans are ...
