IRC nick help

Now I waqs using Xchat the other day and was connection to diff servers thru it.... normal thing but what I want to know is that is it possible for me to use diff nicks for diff servers and then use it?


As in I want to use Broken Angel for suck-o and Dark Wolverine for some other server at the same time? Plus m using windows for now so is there any ay that I can get the Xchat for more than 30 days

Well, just type in

/nick <nick>

and it should work if you're on different servers. AFAIK you can only use one nick on one server.

well, you can use multiple nicks, simply change the nick after connecting, that way you can also register and use multiple ones.

XChat has been compiled for Windows as Ychat, and is free.

As for nick choosing, under the network list you select a nick, second nick and third nick. The first one is used no matter what server you log onto, unless it is already in use and then the second one is used, and on down the line.

KvIRC is nice, I also liked Hydra for windows. Now that my windows computer is a giant paper weight though, I'm on my linux lappy all the time, so xchat it is
