It stops other websites from tracking your activity.
Its free absolutely.

Nice, maybe we should have a thread dedicated just for adding things to, for the purpose of guiding new users to surf in a safe(ish) environment.

I know we have a few knocking around but web browsers get updated, new laws on the verge of crushing everything (SOPA, PIPA, ACTA) and it would be good to have an updated thread on the subject as this is a question a lot of people are asking. The answer is that the internet will not be as they see it is now.....or how it used to be.

Its the lack of respect for the internet from people which will only make them jump and shout about it when its too late. A small number of people dont feel that others have the right to gather information on them and want to know how they can learn to defend for themselves, or at least the most important thing - become a hard target.

We should have a thread maybe for plugins and other features, tricks or tips on browser security as its becoming a bit of a hot topic at the moment. I know we have some around the place but browsers get outdated.

Maybe someone here has a tutorial already done for something along this basis would like to share it or if someone has time would maybe like to put one together.

Peace
