How important is a clean desktop for a Sucker?

I always keep my desktop clean from icons, but i wonder.....does anyone think like i do?

No, well, not totally clean. I like to have shortcuts. Especially of programs that I use often. I don't like a cluttered desktop, so I keep mine in an orderly fashion. I'll edit this when I get home for a picture of my desktop.

oh, here's my Linux desktop too....VERY clean because I mostly use the shell anyway...
