My b*tch comp.

Post by F4LSE »

i havn't been using my server at all lately so i decided to make it into my sorta B*tch comp for downloads, music, talking...random crap.. etc.
i was wondering what suck-o members would suggest in terms of what OS/Distro to use and why, and also handy programs for such a computer.

-thanks, /

I suggest something difficult to use, configure and has a tons of problems with hardware compatability. Why? Well, it`s exactly how I learn..sometimes it`s a piss off, but in the end you are a better man for it...right?

Anyway, unless you want something that works out of the box, like Ubuntu..I suggest Solaris, BSD or something along those lines.

Personally, my next distro I am going to try is CentOs...I hear good things.

Im pretty sure sometimes i piss you off for all these hardware, configure questions i have for you on IRC

you have to learn somehow, and i learn in the same fashion by fucking everything up and trying to fix it all. Some people can learn just by reading a 1000 page book on the subject, thats not me.
