Google ssl?

Post by ayu »

Does Google support SSL? Because if I try to enter https://google.com, it reverts to http://google.com, but it does give me a warning about an invalid certificate, so some sort of SSL connection is made, but then when I have added the exception, it reverts to http :S

Any ideas?

hm, yeah, seems google only supplies SSL for mail and for services in context with an account, the search engine itself doesn't...even when I am logged into my google webmaster account it instantly switches to http again when I am using the search engine.

while checking that I found a funny story in context with certificates:
