I reinstalled Ubuntu yesterday, and all of a sudden I can't see certain images in Firefox, it's odd because it's not any certain kind, just some "random" images, but it's always the same images on all sites. Like some smileys are invisible to me on suck-o now, yet they are all in the same format =/.
Anyone else having this issue?
Firefox bug?

hm, I experienced some weird problems which seem to be caused by CSS, sometimes it seems FF isn't reading the stylesheet for a site properly (or only partitially), suck-o looks very weird in such a case...no images and the text format is all messed up, Big-E told me he had similar probs with FF already.
can you check the not displayed images by checking their properties or by right click->view image? would be interesting to see if the shown pathas are correct or if there is an error like a 403?

I can't right click on them, but if I check the source of the site, they are included. One of them is:
And if I watch the image directly through the URL, it works =/
eurgh, discovered this when I previewed this post, but I can't see the image ON the board for some reason xD So tell me...is it there?! ^^

Yeah, works with other browsers, so it's Firefox it's wrong withbad_brain wrote:the certificate always have to be accepted first when visiting a https site, and well, for me it works....so the problem must be on your side...checked it with a different browser like Epiphany?

the only thing I can add, is when I use https to visit the site, some images don't show up as they come from the http version of the site - my work uses websense to block the http version of suck-o.
Example, some icons or avatars were blocked from filling in the images in https by the firewall blocking http access to the site. So perhaps its a firewall rule you set?

hm, this is for an older FF version, I am not sure if it's the same in FF3:
if this still not help you can send me the image links as last option and I have to replace the paths with relative ones...
because I guess when using https and the image is linked to http it is handled as image from an external site...Click on Tools,
Options, Content, and make sure that Load Images is checked, and "for
the originating web site only" is unchecked
