Post by nightkid »

---
currently i am learning VB/VB.NET and developing a program that basically will make someone think their hacking thru msn but they end up being backdoored...doing this as a challenge/favor for a friend.

- Designing 4 circuit boards 1 with bluetooth all smaller than a deck of cards.
- Programming in assembly that runs on a 8 core processor. Mind bending~
- Meeting with a salesman today that makes glass displays (see through)
- Ranked #38 on Counter Strike Source out of 64,000
- Repaired 4 laptops in a week. 2 required some soldering and removal of small parts. Lucky I quit drinking coffee and did not have the shakes.

Brainstorming for a Half Life 2 mod idea I got a week ago.

That's pretty much it. June was totally dedicated to Calculus 3.

- Currently reinventing my twitter app, hoping to have it completed by next follow Friday. I had to revamp it due to Twitter implementing my previous idea into the core functionality of the website - I knew it was a good idea when I had it. Eerily, it was implemented a few weeks after I submitted approval for increase in API calls and in doing so, I had to explain the entire functionality of the application, which was my bad at the time. This time, I am building the app before I ask for approval so that I can launch directly afterward - but I already think my IP is white listed so I am good to go anyway.

- Messing around with Object Oriented C. Currently I have my development environment all set up and functioning, just have yet to have time to play.

- Planning a Rugby tournament we're hosting in two weeks We are hosting 5 teams for a 6 team tourney, one of which is coming from the States side. Currently planning a party for both nights and need to line up beer sponsors/accommodations/bands..etc

- Just got done installing an Open Mesh deployment at a hotel in the area (not the one I work at). It was rather fun, as the planning phase was huge. You wouldn't believe how much work it took with the laptop to find all the dead spots. It took me 2.5 days to deploy and I saved the hotel over $3k in doing so.

- In the planning phases of my next application in which I hope to be applying to the techstars.com or ycombinator.com program with this upcoming spring. I will be doing A/B split testing and utilizing the lean startup (check - http://startuplessonslearned.blogspot.com/ for more lean startup information ) methodology and actually do my user testing phase before I have anything built.

That currently consumes 28 hours out of my 24 hour days. (I multitask)
