:( I can't install Ubuntu.

First I tried the 9.10 version, and when I tried installing I get an "Stdin: I/O Error" followed by

Code: Select all

BusyBox v1.13.3. (Ubuntu 1:1.13.3-1ubuntu7) built-in shell (ash) (Ubuntu 1:1.13.3-1ubuntu7) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system
I thought maybe it was something with the CD, so I tried installing 9.04.
The 9.04 version I already had on this computer, but that was a few months back and I had to reformat the HD since than. I also used the same CD than that I am using now.

I tried to Google the problem, but so far I have not found a solution.
Thanks for any help!

hm, what computer is it? maybe a Dell one?
because it's either a broken CD or the CD drive/mainboard controller isn't Linux compatible... :-k

Well it's the one that I built myself.

I had problems with the motherboard (Asus Striker II Formula) so I RMA'd it and they sent me another one... This one works fine except the trouble I have right now. The last one I RMA'd made my pc freeze every few hours, BUT Ubuntu 9.04 installed just fine on it.

Thanks.
