opening .chm file [SOLVED]

Post by moudy »

I'm trying to open this file, but its not working
It is the Official Scripting Documentation from msn plus site, you can download the file from here
By default the file opens with Microsoft HTML Help Executable.
My problem is that the content inside can't be viewed, it says inside "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"
Ideas any one ? :D

Perhaps it's blocked, it's an official file so probably not, but just for giggles right click on it and check out the properties, in the general tab there is an option to unblock blocked chm files. For this to work you must also make sure the file isn't read-only.

Odd that you don't get tabs, how about the firefox CHM reader add-on?

Code: Select all

I tried this add on a moment ago, not working
What happens is that when I open the file in Firefox, it asks to be saved, so I accept, and when I open it the same thing happens 8O ... It asks to be saved... and the content never actually appear
