hacking the cellphone violates cellco TOS
cellphone hacks void your cellco's TOS. And since your cellphone is 'observed' as long as you are online with it by the cellco, it can quickly detect if you have messed with their settings. The TOS, terms of Service strictly says any installation of unauthorized software, mods, hacking will be cause to disconnect service, leaving the user to pay termination fees.
I have a V3 motorola and I searched for "V3 Motorola" "Hacking" "mods", and found links. I already use a USB plug to conect to the phone for dial-up, so the USB port was my connection to the phones software too. In my search - Some if not most of the mods/appz for the phone were outdated - as the cellco patched the exploit.(you can check the version of OS on the phone easily) Some tricks are just not worth the hassle, like changing the starting screen and logos to look like they are hacked, but nothing sweet and important like a wardriver tool or GPS hacker.
make sure you save a copy of your phone's settings before modding, you can just fuck a phone up so bad it will be just a paper weight.

DNR i hate to knock on ya dude. but there are seriously some sweet hacks out ther. (case in point. my env. i can get free apps. and they cant tell the diff.) you just have to look. but also keep in mind. its a cell phone. lol. were not going to be hacking with a cell phone. but there is some fun stuff out ther
