Polymorphic code examples

Since I am currently researching how viruses work, I wanted to see if somebody would be kind enough to show me a polymorphic script/program that demonstrates this concept. From what I have read so far polymorphic code is designed to alter the "signature" of a virus, so it is harder to detect by antinvirus (correct me if I am wrong).

take any virus you like and dissassemble it...

I dont think that every virus is polymorphic.
