and they asked me to find a trainer, and they'll be paying for it,

As far as I can tell ruby is like python very easy to use so if you have any decent coding experience you can pick it up and be productive with it very easily

ask me, i can do it myself, i've always been self taught like most of you, but man they want to give me "professional" training, well i told them, that i can, but still if they wanna throw up their money its fine, do i care?
i know i can do it by myself,
and mab: they have several huge web apps written already in ruby, the new ones i wil be doing will be in php/perl, but i still need to maintain the existing ones.
