"Learning Perl" (O'Reilly and associates) is an excellent introduction.

"Programming Perl" (by Larry Wall, Jon Orwant, Tom Christiansen, O'Reilly & associates) is a must.

"Perl Cookbook" (O'Reilly & associates) is the excellent extention of it.

If you have Perl installed, run
perldoc perldoc
or just
perldoc perltut

--FrankB ,
n00b of another n00b.
