as you most likely have noticed there was a little downtime, and no, it was no attack.
I am using a MPM for the webserver which is still a little experimental, and on very rare occasions (happened 3 times yet in over a year) it obviously fails to kill timed out processes....so it adds more and more processes when new connections come in until the service hangs itself up.
it's not a security flaw because it can not be reproduced by some kind of attack vector, it's simply a little glitch.....besides this little and very rare issue the MPM (itk) is really awesome, especially in context with security.
