Command & Conquer - Red Alert 3, better as warez version

Post by bad_brain »

seen a test of CC Red Alert 3, the game itself seems to be real nice (now with japanese troops, they have special schoolgirl-units  ), BUT there is one thing that will definitely keep me away from buying it: SecuROM protection...the good old Sony rootkit.
cracked versions of course don't have this "feature" anymore....so anyone which is at least a little interested in his privacy and wants to decide WHAT is installed on his system is almost forced to go illegal...

I tried it, not as fun as expected :( it's like playing with toys, really boring graphics, and odd units. And the Japanese girl sucks! and not in the way I want her to

well, the game itself is surely a matter of taste, but securom and limited installs is just ridiculous....it's like "we sell you this game but protected it this way because you are a criminal anyway".
stuff like plays into the hands of software piracy, seems they are really too stupid to understand....I mean, you give them (a lot of) money and they put a rootkit on your system, and you can only avoid this by using the cracked version.... *screwy*

Arrrrrrrr matey, thats why I will never buy any sony games with that SecuROM crap. Its like they want to push away customers by putting that shit in their games.

We like to use the term "try it out" around here ... "downloading" stuff like that, is "illegal"
