been browsing in my memories a little and remembered a game I really loved on the C64: Ultima4 - Quest of the avatar:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultima_IV: ... the_Avatar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and hey, you can even download it legally and play it in DOS:
http://www.thatfleminggent.com/ultima/u4download.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I will start playing it again, because I ruined it on the C64 after weeks of heavy gaming, so remember: NEVER ring the bell just because you are curious, because it will disappear and you can't finish the game anymore...
old school RGP - wohoo!

Re: old school RGP - wohoo!
no need to miss it: play it!
I have just set it up and it works 100% fine:

the version I have posted in the 1st post was a little buggy for me (no sound), but this one is perfect:
http://xu4.sourceforge.net/download.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
for Windows:
- install the "xu4 1.0beta3 for Windows"
- get the "Ultima for DOS" files and place the 2 folders in the install dir of the 1st app
- when running it the 1st time press c to enter the settings so you can play full screen
enjoy!
P.S. you have to turn up the volume a bit for the youtube clip...when I heard that tune I instantly felt like being back in the good old days with my C64
