hm, why? any problems with using the wifi card?
Re: madwifi driver
no. not that i am aware of. I have been reading up on drivers and it looks like the madwifi driver is better than the ath9k driver that i am using. not sure though.

Re: madwifi driver
hm, if capturing packets and promiscuous mode works there is actually no reason for using the madwifi driver...
Re: madwifi driver
I am not able to change my wireless card channel even though i use the -c command. i am trying to install the madwifi drivers to see if this helps at all but being a linux noob i am having issues.
so i have downloaded the tar.gz file and done the following:
tar -xvfz filename.tar.gz
then i went into the extracted folder and did
make
umm.... now what? i tried install but it didnt work. How do i get the madwifi drivers installed and the ath9k drivers removed?
