backtrack assistance

Post by Kirk »

im looking for someone familiar with backtrack and the armitage application in it.

when I am on the network I am able to do a scan in armitage but not exploit my computer with it. I must be missing some steps or simply doing it wrong. If you have experience with this please let me know.

been a while since I have used Backtrack, so I don't know if the database (for metasploit) is working out of the box or if you have to set it up first.
best do:

Code: Select all

ps -A|grep sql
to see if a database service is running at all.
