How to install wifi drivers on linux mint 10 ?

I got linux mint 10 form a friend recently to be able to get into my neighbours network :P it failed to detect my wireless card but its supported :mrgreen: I Downloaded the madwifi drivers but I have no idea how to install them >< help please ?

hey mabye you should try to google it ore have you try the mint forum
there should be some answer there :)

I tried both honestly :P all I got was that I need to install kernel headers but I need connection for that :P

here's a howto, will work for Mint too:

but without an internet connection it will be a pain in the ass, because you will have to download the missing packages manually on another system, transfer them via USB drive and then install them via dpkg.
can't you connect the system via network cable? would make things a lot easier.
