Anyone good with networking problems on Ubuntu 11.10?
I am currently tethering from an old mobile phone, and it was working properly up until last night when I tried to activate ICS through the use of iptables. It is now dropping the connection, now the phone is still connected to the computer fine, but it doesn't show up under the network manager, or in the ifconfig devices, as when it does when it is properly working. Any ideas anyone?

hm, I am using Ubuntu just on one server (mab's one), and no issue there....and when you say it happened right after applying firewall rules I actually think it's because something is faulty THERE.
can you post the chains? I'll have a look then.

Firewall rule is probably the cause of the problem, but I can't post anything and it is irrelevant now because I wont be using it anytime soon. Sorry for the empty thread.bad_brain wrote:hm, I am using Ubuntu just on one server (mab's one), and no issue there....and when you say it happened right after applying firewall rules I actually think it's because something is faulty THERE.
