Can't Boot SimplyMEPIS6.0 [Error]

Post by Stavros »

Well, Here's the error I get. I have no idea what it means.

Code: Select all

[17179577.356000] Kernel Panic - not synching: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
[17179577.356000] _
That's exactly what it looks like.

/Guess this is what I get for not messing with it for several months... :x

uh-oh.... :?

well, here's something I found, source is ubuntuforums.org:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread. ... rnel+panic
read the post of "AgenT"

good luck with that.....if it not works I would recommend a new install, best get rid of Ubuntu and use the real Debian (Ubuntu might be more up to date but this is also at the expense of stability).
