How to emulate Windows on Linux?

i saw a guy do that on YouTube

he had like a separate window with windows booting in it
and he was working on linux at the same time

i was wondering how to do that
i googled a lot and coudnt find much on that

does anyone know what im mean

no its not something like Wine..wine dosent emulate windows
it just runs windows apps

i hope you get the idea

Shoot lemme think of the name. Something player. Err...

Vmware player

Multi-platform and pwns. Uses a lot of memory though.

As far as installing it... Google around for tutorials for Linux.

It's a bitch to install but once you get it installed and registered (free version) it's pretty easy to use.

Bochs is also a good one, you can not only run a virtual computer with it, you can even simulate hardware (like the CPU):

it's also not REALLY easy to install, but it is well documented... :wink:

well i installed bochs it from synaptic packet manager

but now i dont understand whats wrong

look for a package named bochs-x and install it...it contains the plugins for the x-server... :wink:

Just google for "virtualization." There are many tools and pick on the is best suite for you.
