arpd install probs

Can somebody help me with installing arpd? ^^

apt-get install arpd seems useless in this situation :/

Like can someone give me a working link and maybe a small guide on how to install ? ^^ found a lot of different weird things to install so dunno what to do ^^

i followed some guides but didn't work

neo open shell and

Code: Select all

locate arpd

and you will find its already installed with honeyd

if you

Code: Select all

locate honeyd

then use arpd and commands it will then work

i tried the same thing then checked to see if it was already installed

yeah i know it says it's already installed, but when i use the commands it's not working =/

but, i will try once again ^^ but i will do so tonight, pretty busy day today

srry, for double post ^^ got an error now =/

when i try to run it i get

umbrella:/home/cats# arpd
db_open: No such file or directory

EDIT: i discovered that arpd is assosiated with "iproute" from the debian packages, i tried with arpd -help and got some commands, i then tried with

arpd -b 192.168.0.101 eth0

but nothing happend, it didn't seem to bind..... any tip? =/
