[Solved][Ubuntu 7.04] Splash won't go away!

[Solved][Ubuntu 7.04] Splash won't go away!

I just started the lappy today and the splash screen didn't go away...... =/

i didn't make any changes yesterday before i shut down, well...one...i went to "sessions" and made it save all changes =/ but i reverted that again...other then that i can't come up with any changes i made.....so if anyone has an idea then please notify me ^^

are you using the Compiz desktop effects? and what g-card do you have, an ATI one? because it seems it's a bug in context with compiz and the open ATI drivers.

anyway, try this:
go to System -> Preferences -> Sessions
look for the Eterm entry and remove the -P option, let me know it it worked... :wink:

That entry doesn't exist =/

i tried to disable the bluetooth entry since i just installed it. No change though

I turned of the desktop effects and it went away =P
