when i am trying to configure the sending serve (smtp server).......it issues an error message
"AUTHENTICATION FAILED .........MAY BE WRONG PASSWORD". But i have entered the correct username and password
I am configuring the KMAIL mail client having an account on www.HotPOP.com and gave the sendind server name smtp.HotPOP.com
plz.........help

most likely a simple problem with the settings.....try hotpop.com instead of smtp.HotPOP.com (no need to use the smtp-prefix when connecting to port 25 anyway) and make sure you use the proper username, on many email providers you get account names like user1p1, if you have such a name use it instead of the email address as username (this is what most people do wrong in Thunderbird for example).
