All right fellas i am slowly headed toward your realm of linux. I have used linux a little in the past and wanted to know what distro you can put CSS easly.
I currently have fedora all thought I have not installed it on my new 64 bit AMD i just build last week.
I assume the video card driver will be the most difficult hurdle other wise give me your ideas and comments.
I have googled the topic but i am getting mixed information. This is why i ask the masters here.

what g-card do you have? nowadays it's no really big problem anymore to get/install the drivers, the experience with my g-cards was that nvidia drivers are usually easier to install than ATI ones...but this is just for Debian, I don't have real experience with other distros in this context. the only g-cards that are a pain in the rear are Via ones (at least if you want 3D acceleration), but luckily those cards are pretty exotic and not often used.
If you do have ATI or another brand, you should go to their driver site and see if they have a linux driver first before starting on your quest for a distro.
That maybe the easiest rather then looking through forums or testing.
I have never tested ATI aggressive in linux.
I just always have had problems in the past with it in regards to BSD so I auto go for nvidia.
Whatever distro you pick they normally have a list of cards and other hardware that are compatible before you install. If there are known problems with certain cards those solutions can some times be found in that distro's forum.
Linux Mint is popular with gamers and people making a windows jump with multimedia devices.
Mint requires a bit more RAM then say Zenwalk or Fedora distros but that should not be a problem with your new computer.
I am sure you have more then 512 seeing how you just built using a 64 bit AMD.
As far as being easy to install this is a distro ultra easy.
I don't play CS:S or I would help more.

Yes i am running a 128bit Nivida gforce NX8600. ill go check out the site and see about the drivers.
I really want to run more of linux but i really love the game to keep my mind off of work. This is why i run windows more than the latter.
edited - yes the driver is available and this looks promising.
I am going to be using fedora also.
