hey guys..minor update before i hit the bed,
i'm done with windows, i installed ubuntu 6.10 and i must say im very happy. i can get around the system without any trouble and much more flexible than windows, a happy medium for me. maybe later ill move on to a more complex OS but im good for now, im amazed at how fast my PC is now. i have a few things i plan to do with my new linux box and was wondering if i could be pointed in the right direction...
-installing video codecs
-webcam drivers
-"installing" higher resolution...screen is only 1280xsomething when my monitor goes up to 1400x900
if anyone could point me in any direction on those i would be greatly appreciative . i'm hitting the bed, i'm quite proud i've set my system up running smoother than it ever has with windblows.
thanks in advance for your replys
good-bye windows
