FireFox 3 killed my flash

Post by Shimo »

Ok So I instaled Fire fox 3 yesterday and everything seemed ok untill I tried loading up a flash and it told me I needed to install flash... I had no problems with my flash before Fire fox 3 and once I installed it It killed it for my Koncoucer web browser as well. I have tried unistalling flash and reistalling it both through yast and manualy... What could be couseing this???? This is really couseing me some problems... My works website is entirely in flash and not being able to load it is preventing me from checking my scedule... Any suggestions will help.

great...I deleted the wrong one....*rofl*

ummm...what was my answer again.... :-k

oh, right:
try to find log entries that show what happened, either in the firefox directory itself or in /var/log. also try to install it NOT in a hidden directory because this might cause permission problems (not sure about that one).

and FF3 is still in beta state, so it's maybe simply a bug and you can wait for the next update or go back to the 2.x branch...

"first stable" equals "last beta" imo...
but ok, didn't knew it's officially released now, but the last time I checked (last weekend) almost none of the plugins were compatible yet....which is pretty disappointing...

Yah sorry for double posting.. I couldn't find it in the forum so when I checked at the library I thought I forgot to send it.

i have somewhat the same problem with mine. it is slow and laggs often on pages with flash. sometimes it just shows up as a grey box. this has only recently happened since fox3. uh try opera, its not the fox, but it will work if u need flash for a little while.

Maybe you could try removing flash and using Gnash, i also had trouble with the official flash player, with gnash i don't have any problems at all.
