Boot cd from grub?

Post by Shimo »

I was wondering if it is possible to add a boot from cd option to Grub??? I would love to be able to boot a cd from Grub. Make life alot easyier... I hate holding Escape and I don't want to change my boot order... It's very slow trying to read from cd every time it starts.

Unfortuneatly that resource did not scratch my itch.. Could be that I'm blind but I didn't notice instructions for booting a cd from the grub menu... This is what my route to my dvdrw drive is /dev/sr0 Ive tried putting that in place of where a hdd location would be with no avail.. It mearly reboots grub on me... Any one got some ideas... I like to use alot of differnt live cds that I just wouldn't have room on my hdd for..... About 25 gigs worth of live cds.. lol all speacialy taylored for one job.Its annoying to hold escape :'( ... But Im stumped.
