Hey all. i just installed debian onto my computer. its freaking sweet. So much to customize and tweak. a lot of fun. works fast and well none the less. ive got it running wine but the problem is that it wont put a new tab under thaaplications launcher drop down on the desktop. how do i add wine or other programs to that?
in this case im trying to get a utorrent launcher lol
Debian applications tab
You can just right click the menu and press "edit menu". And I can recommend a native Linux torrent client, that works better then Utorrent (at least under Linux)
Deluge....
Deluge....
Code: Select all

Edit Menus -> New Itemvisser wrote:right clicking and tehn hitting edit menu doesnt really do much. it just lets you pick what shows or not. and wine isnt under it. and its not anywhere to be found inside of that little window that pops up to help you edit it
Just add it manually....

and i cant get that deluge torrent thing to work either.
i think i may have to stick with ubuntu server edition for a bit longer. try and learn more linux commands and internals type of deal
Well you have to make sure that you have all the requirements for compiling it ^^visser wrote:deluge wont compile for some reason. i follow the install exactly but it dont work. grrr
how do i go about adding it myself?? i found that its a good idea to stick to ubuntu for now. and ive got debian running on my second computer
Also about adding it yourself, as I said "Right click -> Edit Menus -> New item" it's as easy as that =)
