i didnt find any solution for xmms on ubuntu but i founded.

ummm...stupid question, but isn't xmms in the Ubuntu repositories? I don't use Ubuntu, but in Debian it is.... :-k
or did you simply wanted the very latest version?

I think you can just do apt-get install to solve the dependency problem (sometimes)

in ubuntu there is no solution for xmms and they cant fix dependency problems. we cant use xmms for a long time.
in debian there is no problem for xmms.

hmm well, at least this works for me without any problems

EDIT: I use Audacious though, works like a charm <3

umm...I think you meant apt-get -f install

when xmms via apt-get works fine for cats it also should work for the others, maybe the reason are held back packages so the needed package versions of the dependencies for xmms don't match....if apt-get upgrade shows some "not upgraded packages" a apt-get dist-upgrade will upgrade the held back packages to the newer versions.
