I tried restarting hal (hah!!) Now my battery is no longer present. When I

what is the output for:

if it is already running use "restart"....I just want to see if you get an output that points to missing modules..

Did you try restarting? or even just logging out and then back in? That should start the power-app in the taskbar, if the only problem is it not being present ^^
