Free web design

Hey guys!

I've started a project long ago which was about making free web sites and images like logos, banners etc. It was intended as a web & image design training back then, but due to poor advertising of the site I never got any requests.

Now I could use the training, and a portfolio to show off to my future costumers

I would like you to take a look at:

and give me some feedback on it, how you like the site, services etc. any suggestions and so on.

Aside from that I would like you to sign for a service or two... or 10. Just to get that portfolio filled. So if you need a site or image design fill up the request form and send it to nluthor@gmail.com (preferable), or post here or PM me. Also if you don't need anything of that for the moment, just post a site idea, no matter about what it is, just to fill the portfolio

Keep in mind that I'm pretty rusty in both web and image design, so go easy on me

. Also no porn sites or some illegal stuff!

looks nice, I like the clean layout...

just 2 points I would change:
- make the color of the hover effect a little darker in the top navigation bar
- get rid of the 2 big facebook and twitter images, they don't fit to the layout. better use icons with the same size as the RSS one and place them all in a row (also get rid of the RSS text link). I have uploaded a set of icons for you here: http://www.suck-o.com/icons.zip , additionally I have packed a feedburner icon too....I have used those for a site I have done a little ago.

perhaps the same color as the search bar youve got going on? keep things ballanced ya know?

Thanks guys for the suggestions, but as you can see the project is hosted on the free Wordpress host so not much space for changes. For now I can only change the facebook and twitter ads sizes. As for the other changes I'll keep them in mind if this project proves to be worth investing for hosting, domain etc.

And now the more important part, which you all forgot to do, please give me some web site ideas

Pho wordpress has millions of free templates. But aside from that I think it looks great.

You could go into the setting to change the hover effect BB is speaking of. I say if you are not sure then to hell with it and leave it be.

If you need word press help ask me I have been running several sites for a few years now using wp.

Thanks for your offer!

I know how to change all that, but that site is hosted on Wordpress.com for free, where there's a limited number of themes, and in order to change CSS or add a theme that's not on the list or add new plugins I would need to purchase an upgrade.

Spending money on it for now is a no-no, since I'm not sure how the whole concept would work out.

For now, all I need is a portfolio anyway

chose a domain, I will register and host it...you can pay me once you make some money with it. it's much more fun when your options are not as limited as on the wordpress host...and a real domain appears much more trustworthy to potential customers...
