If you work on a server make sure you cut you fucking cables to length and run them along the side!! Nothing worse than going into a server room and the previous person doesn't know what cable management is!!! I hate that. I get paid more but still.

I can feel your pain dude.... 
I am semi-obsessed with wiring, the aspects in a home environment are of course more about the visual integration than about easy maintenance like in a server farm (or any bigger network)....but even with just 2 wired systems I use cables that help me with the troubleshooting (which is a red cable for the home server because it has a red case illumination, and the same for the blue illuminated desktop computer).
so yeah, check the pics, then you surely can imagine how my server farm (yes, one day I will have one) will look like....
