If god can't exist because there is no original creator, and there HAS to be one. Then who created us?.

Religion sucks imo.... =/

Why does people need to have an answer for everything? if they can't find a logical answer they make one up?

As much as I hate to jump in, I'm going to make a comment.

By that logic that validates all religions of that time period including (but not limited to) Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, and all other Theist doctrines as well as atheistic/secular doctrines. Atheism is no new concept. It has existed ever since the Roman Catholic church (and I'd wager even before that).

So, no that is not a valid claim.

Jesus’ burial site found - film claims

Post by zigo »

The cave in which Jesus Christ was buried has been found in Jerusalem, claim the makers of a new documentary film.

If it proves true, the discovery, which will be revealed at a press conference in New York Monday, could shake up the Christian world as one of the most significant archeological finds in history.

The coffins which, according to the filmmakers held the remains of Jesus of Nazareth, his mother Mary and Mary Magdalene will be displayed for the first timeon Monday in New York.

Jointly produced by Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici and Oscar winning director James Cameron, the film tells the exciting and tortuous story of the archeological discovery.

The story starts in 1980 in Jerusalem’s Talpiyot neighborhood, with the discovery of a 2,000 year old cave containing ten coffins. Six of the ten coffins were carved with inscriptions reading the names: Jesua son of Joseph, Mary, Mary, Matthew, Jofa (Joseph, identified as Jesus’ brother), Judah son of Jesua (Jesus’ son - the filmmakers claim).

Decades of research
The findings in the cave, including the decipherment of the inscriptions, were first revealed about ten years ago by internationally renowned Israeli archeologist Professor Amos Kloner.

Since their discovery, the caskets were kept in the Israeli Antiquities Authority archive in Beit Shemesh, but now two have been sent to New York for their first public exhibition.

Although the cave was discovered nearly 30 years ago and the casket inscriptions decoded ten years ago, the filmmakers are the first to establish that the cave was in fact the burial site of Jesus and his family.

The film, which documents the stages of the discovery, is the result of three years labor and research. It will be broadcast on the international Discovery Channel, Britain's Channel 4, Canada’s Vision and Israel’s Channel 8, which also took part in the film's production.

According to the filmmakers, the film’s claim is based on close work with world-famous scientists, archeologists, statisticians, DNA specialists and antiquities experts.

Proving that Jesus existed wouldn't prove much other than that..

Christianity started off as a cult...
Has no one else come to this conclusion?
There were religions way before Christianity(BC)...And Christianity was a new thing. So..with this said..why is it that people would like to assume that Christianity is the "right" religion? People had their own beliefs before Christianity...and it wasn't accepted immediately.
People have many interpretations of the bible. And, times have changed.
So..with new times, new religion?
Well..
At one time, Christianity didn't exist...then the times changed, and it did. I think now is the time where we should all be smart enough to know what's "right". Alien says that they were too stupid to make up something fake. Well..there's MUCH evidence of great intelligence Before Christ. Maybe those were just a few..so then, a few were smart..and the rest were too stupid to know right from wrong so a book had to be written to teach the people in a way they could understand.

Religion should fit you, not the other way around. It's your life, after all.
JuggaloMushroom is saying, basically, that things happened..and now we're here and we should just make the best of it...I agree with this.
I also agree with Neo130, also..
"Religion sucks imo.... =/

Why does people need to have an answer for everything? if they can't find a logical answer they make one up?"

Yeah..what people have turned religion into, sucks. And though truth and knowledge is an important part of life, we already have a foundation of knowledge and some truth to live off of..so why must people dwell on this question of "who created us"? People have used religion as an excuse to kill, and for war....

It's crap, and it's not moving forward. History is repeating itself because people are people, and the majority are still living by guidelines in a book written mannnyy years ago. If people don't believe in evolution as a beginning..then I think they could at least realize that it's the future.

Take it as you will...you will, anyway.

And..here's a question for Christians:
Honestly, why would it be so hard to believe that maybe God created the earth...which set things in motion for evolution? Why couldn't God have created evolution? Do you deny evolution as a fact, or just as a beginning?

Be. Grow.

Oh..COME ON PEOPLE!!

I actually decide to join in and no one replies to me?
I know that it usually takes some days..but..sheesh, I'm getting impatient.

See, part of what I believe is seeing all viewpoints I can to something, and this is an opportunity for you guys to tell me what you agree/disagree with when it comes to what I've said in my posts on this(mainly my last two).
I won't get offended or even argue with anyone. I love to learn and part of that is realizing that I don't know everything x__x

I'll be awaiting a reply.

Agnostic, Ive read the bible(couple of times, its good to know both sides ya know) done the churches etc.

As far as being created, I dont much beleive we were or, to a certain extent care.

But I dont much mind anyones religion, because to prove god exists or does not is in itsself impossible, because we cannot prove the existance or the lack of existance of something on a higher level of existance than ourselves, or it wouldnt be on a higher plane of existance and thus wouldnt be perfect as we see perfect.
