I would say both the lack of caffeine helps.

OCD, Torrette's, ADHD has shown benefit from marijuana use. The strange thing is, they prefer sativa over indica - the more energetic, speedy, racey high effect. The effect slows things down so they can think 'normally'.
So caffeine and tobacco are 'abused' by the same, trying to treat their condition.
I would suggest coffee, its more natural than soda pop, it has some medical benefits like preventing prostate cancer.
