If you violate the terms of service at Google+ by posting pics or even linking to a site - you lose all google accounts - including gmail. They say with no recourse or investigation. if you use gmail for business and personal - you could lose the account.Read the terms of service.

At least at FB - If I get kicked off because they don't like what I post - I don't lose email.
