Winter Solstice @ Stonehenge

Post by computathug »

I did a 700 mile round trip in 24 hrs and partied inbetween as i traveled to Stonehenge to watch the sunrise for the Winter Solstice. B_B will upload the images to the gallery and posted soon. Hope everyone has a great festive holiday. Please remember to do at least one thing for someone less fortunate than yourself and put a smile on there face if ya can. This is not a good time for everyone so lets see if we can make a difference to just one other person. Peace love and light to all!

It defo a magical place and ya can feel the energy all around. It was totally different to the summer solstice as it was festival season and it had around 20,000 visitors through the night and was more people drinking and partying and it was then that I realised why they only open it up direct to the public a couple of times a year. With the litter and people jumping around the stones that they could you just had to watch and feel nothing but disgust. This time it was much quieter due to it being cold and people not having the money with it being so close to Xmas.

This time as you can see we also got to see the sunrise and had the perfect view to watch as the sun came up on the horizon. One thong I noticed was when it was still dark the rock I was leaning against was warm. When the sun came up and the temperature raised the rocks went cold. The druid ceremony and the pagan speeches were excellent except for 2 people close.to me who kept rambling about cameras. It was my test to stay calm and say nothing. Would recommend going to the winter one if you get chance.

I felt my work with the Occupy Movement was spiritually enlightening too, to see strangers come together in peace.

Yes, I wish all suck-o crew could have one day to meet each other and complete the journey many of us have already started toward maximum enlightenment.
