Calculator with mechanical keys
Calculator with mechanical keys
I am fed up with having to buy a new calculator every couple of months, are there any scientific calculators with mechanical keys?

Re: Calculator with mechanical keys
hm, I don't think so...simply because the size of mechanical switches would cause a HUGE calculator with the size of a notebook. the only one I am aware of is the "alpsulator" but it has only the basic calculator functions.
Re: Calculator with mechanical keys
I am not fussed about size tbh, I have a large bag which I can easily fit 3 gaming laptops. If only...

Re: Calculator with mechanical keys
well, sadly manufacturers see it different and are all about "the smaller the better"...so it seems you are out of luck on this one.
but when googling I stumbled over this piece of machinery which just kinda fits to the topic but I still link it because I find it very interesting:

Re: Calculator with mechanical keys
I might actually buy that.
I reckon you could do Sin and Cosine on that using some approximated algorithm (its also how computers do it) so it should be usable-ish.
