Ever wanted to learn how to make a Beowulf Cluster?

Post by Stavros »

Now you know.

You might be asking, "What is a 'Beowulf Cluster?"

Beowulf Cluster- Beowulf is a design for high-performance parallel computing clusters on inexpensive personal computer hardware. Originally developed by Donald Becker at NASA, Beowulf systems are now deployed worldwide, chiefly in support of scientific computing.

This is just something that I just thought of. It would be an interesting feat to accomplish, but I think it would be fun.

Hmm..is that like those things that you download and put on your computer.
And after, it uses a small percentage of your CPU to help them?
Where they encourage people to do this, since the more people to do it, the more processing power they have?
