Found this recently and it looks pretty cool, it works by creating shapes using code and then you can set how the intersections are treated. You can have a sphere and then draw a cube which is intersecting it and you can cut out the cube. Its ridiculously tedious compared to other software but it only needs a UI to bridge the gap.

ohhhh....this is nice.... 
when I have some time I'll fiddle with it...not that I need it for work or that I have really some CAD experience yet, but it's also nice for fun and alsways good to get into some new stuff...
