I've been playing guitar for about 9 months (consistently anyway, I started playing 5 years ago, but stopped for 4 years) and I've always wanted to be able to play Hotel California by The Eagles. The below video is the result of two days of practice, which is about 8 hours of practice time.

What do you all think?

I'm jealous of people who can play instruments....because I can't.
ages ago, as an early teenager, I once tried to learn playing guitar too...gave up after a couple of days, did not remotely had the needed patience. today I would have the patience, but not the time anymore....oh well, maybe one day...

oh, and: thumbs up on YT from s-o.....that's kinda the virtual knightly accolade.

The key, in my opinion, is to just have fun with it. For me it's not practicing I just pick up the guitar and play because I like to. It's never too late to start learning, you'd be surprised how easy some very famous songs are!

I tried my hands with guitar a couple of times. Bought me self 2 of them but they ended up in the attic and maybe now a termite food :/
