Dear fellas, it's been a really long time and it's really good to be back here. It's a wonderful feeling to see the website still running with old good theme.
I need some help guys. This is a bit weird that I'm actually asking for help to get spam mails. Can anybody help me?
I'm looking for actual spam like "You've won lottery" or "Some amount is waiting for you", etc. and not the newsletters or digests.
It's a part of my research.

Re: Best way to get spam mails
this is....actually harder than it first sounds...
- you'll need a mail provider with crappy server config, mail servers with a decent config utilize SPF, DMARC, DKIM records, DNSBL lists, and also does header checks (like "is the sending mail server IP resolving to a FQDN, if yes does the FQDN resolves back to the IP?"). so don't go for gmail. yahoo sucks pretty bad for example....or google for complaints about "much spam in free inbox" for example and check the providers.
- post the address all over the web. put it in comments on big news sites for example. sign up to sites that offer stuff "for free", best are of course free porn ones.
should catch a decent amount of spam after a some weeks. make sure to "unsubscribe" as much as possible, because to spammers it's just the validation that the email account is alive and you'll end up with even more spam.
if you want LOTS of spam, like hundreds a day, and that asap:
additionally to the steps above it'll take some money (just some bucks for each actually):
- get a domain name
- look for a cheap mail provider that allows catch-all accounts (a catch-all account means it accepts ANY incoming mail for the domain, no matter if the account name exists or not)

Hey b_b, thank you for the reply.
But Verizon has taken over Yahoo. So, don't you think they might have updated their spam filters?
BTW, very good suggestions for email providers.

Re: Best way to get spam mails
hm, not sure about the Verizon filters because I have no personal experience with them, but everything AT&T (like Bellsouth, etc.) has "good" spam filters....so "good" that sometimes it's hard to get even legit mail delivered...lol
so it's likely that the verizon filtering, as direct competitor to AT&T, is not that much worse.
just remembered the mail provider I used a while ago for a little "project" (needed to fake a .za identity), and the spam filtering was extremely bad to non-existing, also the actual provider spams the crap out of you already:
