I got a card, not singed obviously, but it was posted to me, and I know all of my female relatives handwriting and it wasnt them, so it is a little weird and indeed unsetlting...

How was it for everyone else?

oh...there was Valentines day?

I don't care about such days...valentines day, christmas, new years day...it's like being forced to have special thoughts and feelings because a stupid calendar says so, and in reality it's all about money...valentines day for example was invented in the netherlands which is the biggest flower export country. and I think a woman is much happier when she gets flowers from a guy on a normal day..

(phew, I'm glad I've been able to look at least a little romantic with that last sentence

Well my valentine's day is going as planned, i offered 7(her lucky number) roses to my gf with a card and a box of ferrerro Rochers

And ill be taking her to the restaurant quite soon enough now...

It was a normal day.

Go to class, sleep when I get home (I've been abnormally tired).

We avoided the restaurants, i thought it would be a better idea to have brunch somewhere when the restaurants are not that crowded with stressing couples.

My ex tried hanging all over me like we were together..I told her to f*** off.

School, work, a bottle of wine....woot.
A normal night and I didn't spend anything on this dumb holiday.

Granted, I'd been in bed all day with a killer headache, Frankb's been sick and I've been sitting for a kid with chickenpox...

I agree the holidays are a bit commercialized nowadays.

I like it the way we kick it here:
a special acknowledgement more than suffices!!

Besides, I get lovin' 24/7/365 from not one but *two* fellas! lol

Hmm.

I can read and write French, but when it comes time to speak it I sound like... well, an American trying to speak French lol.
I'm getting the hang of the rolling r's, though.

If you need *serious* help, FrankB, ulysse, and nerdzoncrack are *fluent* in French.

As for me, I've taken 4 years of it during middle school and at a University, and speak it daily here.
So yeah, I'd help ya.
Just PM me.

Or, one of the others would be glad to help, I'm sure!

(a hint: if you can find it [Barnes and Nobles or any bookstore, prolly] look for the 'Assimil' books on learning French. They are very good, esp with the pronounciation!)
