I am confused what did you cut? The metal tab on the end that bolts to the case? If so no problem just get a new one. All its for is holding the card in place make sure the card is inserted firmly. Realistically you don't even need the metal bracket if you can find a way to screw it on the chassis. Cut away till it fits that is unless its a AGP card trying to fit into a PCI slot...
