what will be the download speed of 512kb

hey everyone here my question fed up of war driving now

i wants to buy a DSL connection but i want to know if i gets 512 kb what will be my download speed

As a general rule of thumb you divide your speed by 8, that's your download speed. It will then be a tiny bit less because of overhead(And if you're using wireless, there is even more overhead).

E.g. you'd be able to download at around 50-64 kilobytes per second.

thats too low better if i buy 4mb is enough by your method dividing 4096 by 8 =512kb 512kb is fine so i will buy that and it's even cheap only 250 per month 83 dollar of u.s and free national and local calls

I can pay 20 Euro for 20MB down and 4 up if I wanted to.

I pay $80 USD a month for 25mb download and 5 upload. I dont always get that DL speed but im on average around 19 or so DL and 5 UL.
