Guitar

Post by floodhound2 »

I have been playing guitar off and on for over 10+ years. Some of you may know I purchased my first electric last year, so its kind of been acoustic up till then.

What I was wondering is, who is your favorite guitar player? I ask because I want to listen to other great style/s of players that I may not have heard of.

Ill start off by stating my favorite:

Stevie Ray Vaughn, an aggressive yet delicate mixture of straight raw improvised solos. I have not seen in any other guitarist able to do what he can and I try to play his music.

sweet.... :D
I've listened to good old heavy metal a lot as a kid, nowadays not many real good guitar players are out there anymore it seems.....maybe people don't have the patience to learn anymore... :-k

one of the few really great guitar players of today is Buckethead imo, his music is really intense, especially when you know his background (he's schizophrenic):
