brits in alabama...^^

Post by bad_brain »

just had a really good laugh when watching one of my favorite shows called "Top Gear", it's a british show about cars, in this episode they did a challenge to drive across the USA in used crappy cars....as extra challenge they had to "decorate" the car of each other in an offensive way when entering alabama....so hilarious.

the video is mirrored, so here's what written on the cars:
- hillary for president
- NASCAR sucks
- manlove rules ok
- I'm bi
- country&western is rubbish

see what happened:

That was great it took some guts to pull it off, I have to admit that I thought they would have been shot, linched or at least run off the road and beat before they left.

Our little town here in Missouri is a lot like the one that they visited.

what I did notice was they drove slow in the left passing lane on the freeway.
Even semi trucks were blowing by them on the right side.

that will get you shot around detroit, my hood.

Am I the only one who thinks this was staged? Don't get me wrong I found it hilarious but TopGear has a reputation for faking iirc.

It used to be one of my top shows when i watched tv and if i am anywhere there is a tv here in the uk most people dont mind watching it. Yes it is obviously staged but you can imagine what would happen if it wasn't. If you watch some of the other shows they have done they have had to drive through `Iraq and other serious places you would just never want to visit with what is going on there. The camera crew are always at the place they are heading too and places like America people will be payed to play along with the scene. When they are in places where they really need protection there are always guards around and the areas vetted long before they get there. Still a brilliant show and there are lots of series and episodes, Top Gear is just one of them programs i would never get bored of.

Watch the episode on what they did to the toyota hilux and this is the whole reason i fell in love with toyota and imported my own a few years back. *thumb*
