Pre-Approved Credit Card Fraud

Pre-Approved Credit Card Fraud

Please remember that this is a criminal act and is punishable by prison time and HEAVY fines.

This is possibly one of my most favorite ways to do fraud. The only thing you need for this is an ID (different tutorial).

The basic premise is this. All major stores will give an individual instant credit when approved. You fill out an application in the store, the information is then sent to a computer within the credit card company (usually Visa and MasterCard). The computer checks your credit score and makes an instant determination on how much, if any, money you will be given.

When you apply for the credit card you will be required to fill out an application and show proof of who you are (ID). Try to get the information as accurate as possible to the real person. If you happen to know their address, telephone number, etc. This isn’t always necessary but the less lying you have to do the better. However if the person is 85 and you’re only 25, then change the birth date.

If you are denied don’t worry. It’s probably because the person has bad credit. The credit card company isn’t going to tell the clerk you aren’t the real person because they don’t even know. Remember it’s all automated at this step.

When you are approved the clerk will print out a receipt that you can use for 24 hours if you feel like shopping. Of course you feel like shopping. This receipt is what we are after. IT IS A CREDIT CARD for all intents and purposes. The Receipt will be about 8 – 12 inches long and at the bottom will be a large bar code looking thing; you account info. That is the part they scan when you buy something.

Sometimes when you have a physical credit card and try to go shopping it gets shut off because of suspicious activities. That will not happen with this because this is the first and only activity on the card. As soon as you get the receipt spend it all.

How much money is available depends on how good the person’s credit is. There is also a cash back option. You are able to receive 10% of the total amount in cash. Nice.

Sears has 3 credit cards that you can apply for at the same time. They have nice stuff also. Sears is my favorite sore. Wal-mart is done at a kiosk. You don’t even see a person until check out. Hell, now they have self checkout so you may never need to see anyone. And finally: Zales.

This isn’t a big cash maker (different tut). It’s mainly to buy cool shit. But what would you do with the cash anyways: buy stuff.

I used to work security for Best Buy, kirk is right on the money. This is the inherent defect of having an automated system to approve people for store credit. They know about this flaw - but they write off a certain amount of losses per store each year, about $250,000 is considered acceptable losses per year per profit ratio. Again, if the police are called, they will pretty much leave the case open pending your actual arrest. They will wait for the store to call the police when you come back, perhaps to attempt to return the perloined items (thats a big common mistake!) Best Buy stores didn't really communicate with each other unless they were down the street and suspect a theif will head to the other store.

When the credit companies were throwing money at you before the economical collapse there would have no problem in most shops using this way to defraud them. The shops are not really that bothered as long as the automated transaction gets accepted as no matter what its a sale and its not them that loses out as they get paid anyway from the creditors insurance.

This is harder to do at the moment unless you have the details belonging to someone you know has good credit score.
